Successfully conclude the first year of the project "Future Community: Social Inclusion Interventions and the Labor Market for Orphans of Shkodra"

Successfully conclude the first year of the project "Future Community: Social Inclusion Interventions and the Labor Market for Orphans of Shkodra", funded by the Italian Agency for Cooperation and Development, which started in April 2017 and has a duration of 3 years. In this project successfully works partnership between: Acli IPSIA, SHIS, Shkodra Municipality, University of Bologna, University of Shkodra, Code Partners, Lybra Cooperative.

The SHIS challenge during the first year of the project has been the creation of conditions for the social, educational and social inclusion of children and orphans who live in the district of Shkodra. This has enabled the improvement of social autonomy and through educational training such as school recuperation, autonomy, English and computing.

Some general data of the first year are:

- Inclusion of 125 young people participating in free courses;

- Creation of 14 groups with young people who have benefited from courses (groups composed of 8-15 persons each);

- Developed 798 hours in total for all courses;

- 507 meetings / sessions held;

- The average attendance of young people in all courses for the first year is 88%.

- The courses have been developed in the city of Shkodra and in the villages such as Gruda, Vinotekë and Gur i Zi.

    1.474 (children, young, teacher, and parents)

  • Private donors:

    720 (individuals, schools and businesses)

  • Local Partners:

    35 educational subjects distributed throughout the country
